Rejected Lamb

Ray Carman from Enjoy the Shepherd website is an inspiration to us all. He is a Christian, family man who owns a farm. Through his simple life, he shares inspiring on-the-farm analogies that relate to our relationship with Jesus Christ. Watch this video, The Rejected Lamb.

There may be times in our lives when we find ourselves rejected by someone we love. It is at those times, if we choose to, that we can develop an intimate relationship with our loving Savior, Jesus Christ.

None Were With Him

In a talk by Jeffrey R. Holland entitled “None Were With Him,” he says,

“Brothers and sisters, one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so. His solitary journey brought great company for our little version of that path—the merciful care of our Father in Heaven, the unfailing companionship of this Beloved Son, the consummate gift of the Holy Ghost, angels in heaven, family members on both sides of the veil, prophets and apostles, teachers, leaders, friends. All of these and more have been given as companions for our mortal journey because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His gospel. Trumpeted from the summit of Calvary is the truth that we will never be left alone nor unaided, even if sometimes we may feel that we are. Truly the Redeemer of us all said: ‘I will not leave you comfortless: [My Father and] I will come to you [and abide with you].’ ”

The Peace Only He Can Give

May we ever remember that no matter how alone we may sometimes feel, our Savior has felt what we feel. Our Savior has suffered more than we could ever imagine. He knows first-hand the pain and suffering that we are each called to bear. He knows what we are going through and He is waiting with outstretched arms to comfort us and give us the peace that only He can give.

One of my most favorite scriptures that gives me comfort is found in D&C 84:88. “…I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.

D&C 84:88

This Easter season, as we each struggle in our own way, let us each reach out to Him and feel of His love.
