Cartoon picture that represents working towards a goal and giving up just before obtaining victory. How would it be if we could see ourselves as Heavenly Father sees us? He sees how close we are and He sees how far we have come. I wonder how many times our Heavenly Father has looked down on us and said, “Really? You give up NOW?!?!”

I fell in love with this cartoon the moment I saw it. Oh, how I can relate!

Everyone has given up on something in their lives, wouldn’t you agree? If you haven’t, then I applaud you! 😉 Setting a worthy goal and reaching it, isn’t always for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of faith, hard work and dedication. Many times when it starts to get hard, it’s human nature to just give up – say it’s not worth it, make our excuses and abandon the goal altogether.

But what if? What if you could see into the future? What if you could see how close you really are and how far you have come? Would you give up then? I wonder how many times our Heavenly Father looks down on us and says, “Really? You give up NOW?!?!

Weeks, months or even years later after giving up on a dream, many times we find ourselves wondering “What if?” What if I would have kept with it? What if I would have done this? Instead of asking those kinds of what if’s, why don’t we ask ourselves in the midst of loosing hope, what if I keep going? What if I don’t turn back? What if I take one more step? Then envision the goal we want to achieve, envision ourselves breaking through the last obstacle that separates us from achieving our goal and envision the victory, envision that sigh of relief, envision ourselves saying those three simple yet profound words, “I did it!”

The jewels in this picture can represent so many things. Whether it’s reaching higher success in business, life, relationships or even perhaps it is overcoming an addiction – the jewels represent our goals, our dreams, or anything we strive to achieve. It can also represent that glorious day we meet our Savior and He says, “Well done thou good and faithful servant.”

May we ever keep going, knowing the Lord is by our side every step of the way. Don’t give up on a goal when you have come so far! No regrets.

Yours Truly,
